Springfield Hellcat Car Mount: Hellcat, Hellcat Pro and RDP

Hellcat car mount guide: the Springfield Hellcat, Hellcat Pro and Hellcat RDP each have their own magnetic mount. Pick yours, choose optic-ready, install it.

Springfield Hellcat Car Mount: Hellcat, Hellcat Pro and RDP

The Springfield Hellcat line packs a lot of capacity into a small pistol, which is why so many people carry one every day and want a dedicated place for it in the truck or car. The Hellcat name now covers three different pistols, though, and a Hellcat car mount made for one of them is not the mount for the others.

This guide covers the three Hellcat versions At The Ready makes mounts for: the Hellcat, the Hellcat Pro and the Hellcat RDP. It explains how to match your pistol, why the optic choice matters so much in this family, and where the mount goes in your vehicle.

Key takeaways

  • The Hellcat, Hellcat Pro and Hellcat RDP each have their own At The Ready magnetic mount.
  • Check the model marked on your pistol before you order.
  • Each Hellcat mount is $95, or $105 for the optic-ready version.
  • Many Hellcats carry a red dot, so decide on the optic version before you order.
  • Screws, VHB tape and primer come in the box, with a lifetime warranty on the mount.

Three Hellcats, Three Mounts

Springfield builds the Hellcat in several configurations; you can compare them on Springfield Armory’s Hellcat series page. At The Ready designs each mount from the actual slide of one pistol, so each version below has its own page:

Your pistol At The Ready mount Standard Optic-ready
Springfield Hellcat Hellcat mount $95 $105
Springfield Hellcat Pro Hellcat Pro mount $95 $105
Springfield Hellcat RDP Hellcat RDP mount $95 $105

If the markings on your pistol leave you unsure, call At The Ready at (469) 833-6651 before ordering. Every Springfield mount is listed on the Springfield mounts page.

Decide on the Optic First

Hellcat owners run red dots more than most, and the RDP comes set up for one. If your Hellcat has an optic, or you plan to add one, choose “Optic: Yes” on the mount page for the optic-ready version, $10 more than the standard mount. That choice does not by itself confirm clearance for lights or other accessories, so ask if your setup is unusual. Our optic-ready gun mount guide explains the choice in more detail.

How It Holds a Small Pistol

A compact pistol like the Hellcat can slide around a console bin or door pocket. A Hellcat car mount gives it a fixed place: rare-earth magnets in a premium ABS body shaped from that model’s slide hold the pistol in the same position on every drive, with the grip where your hand expects it. The trigger guard stays open, so keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.

Where It Goes

The side of the center console and the lower dash panel are the two most common spots. Test the position with your empty pistol from your normal seat, stay clear of airbags and pedals, and add the angled mount adapter ($14.99) if the grip sits too close to your knee. The car gun mount guide and truck gun mount placement guide cover placement in depth.

Install and Customize

Install with the included screws, or with the VHB tape and included primer if you would rather not drill; the no drill gun mount guide walks through it. Then make it yours with 25 colors and up to 18 characters of custom text, at no extra cost. Black is the standard base color.

Safety and the Law

Practice your reach with an unloaded pistol. A mount is not locked storage, so take your Hellcat with you or lock it up when you leave the vehicle, and check the carry laws everywhere you drive.
