Ordering & prices

How much does an At The Ready pistol mount cost?

Pistol mounts start at $95.00, and the optic-compatible version is $10 more ($105.00 for models such as the Glock 19). IWI Desert Eagle mounts start at $149. The optional angled mount adapter is $14.99.

Do colors or custom text cost extra?

No. You choose base, tab and text colors from 25 options and can add up to 18 characters of custom text at no extra cost. The text color cannot match the tab color.

Can I add the angled mount adapter after adding a mount to my cart?

Yes. The adapter is a separate, optional accessory: add it on your mount's page or after the mount is in your cart. It costs $14.99.

What if my pistol is not listed?

Call (469) 833-6651 with the exact model marked on your pistol, and At The Ready will help you check the available mount options.

How do I reach At The Ready with a question?

Call (469) 833-6651 or (469) 304-8535, or email info@at-the-ready.us. The At The Ready team answers questions about fit, options and installation.

Where can I find shipping and return details?

On the Shipping & Returns page. It shows the same policy that applies to your order at checkout.

Do At The Ready mounts have a warranty?

Yes. At The Ready mounts carry a lifetime warranty. The full warranty terms come with your mount, along with the installation instructions; call (469) 833-6651 or email info@at-the-ready.us with any questions.

Choosing your mount

How do I know which mount fits my pistol?

Each mount is made for one specific pistol model, so choose your manufacturer, then your exact model from the list. A manufacturer name alone does not confirm fit for every model or variation.

Do pistols with similar names share a mount?

No. Models with similar names each have their own mount, for example the Glock 22 and Glock 22 Gen 5. Choose the exact model name marked on your pistol, and contact At The Ready if you are not sure which one you have.

Which pistols do you make mounts for?

At The Ready makes model-specific mounts for 186 pistol models from 29 brands, including Glock, Smith & Wesson, SIG SAUER and Ruger. Each one is designed from the actual slide of that model.

Can I get a mount for a pistol with a red dot?

Yes. Every pistol mount except the IWI Desert Eagle mounts has an optic-compatible version for $10 more. Choose your manufacturer and model first, then select Optic: Yes in the options on that mount's page.

Does the optic option cover a weapon light or other accessory?

No, not by itself. An optic-compatible selection does not confirm clearance for every light or other accessory, so contact At The Ready with your pistol model and accessory details before ordering.

How is a model-specific mount different from a universal gun magnet?

A model-specific mount is made for your exact pistol model and holds it in a secure, consistent position, even on rough terrain. A universal magnet uses one design for many firearms, so its hold depends on where the firearm meets the magnet.

When would I use the angled mount adapter?

Use it when the grip sits too close to your knee or leg. The adapter changes the mounting angle for more grip and leg clearance, comes in right-handed and left-handed versions, and also works with other standard quick-draw mount systems.

Where are At The Ready mounts made?

At The Ready mounts are designed, printed and assembled in Wylie, Texas, by a veteran-owned and operated company. They are made from premium ABS plastic with rare-earth magnets.

Installation

Where can I install a mount?

In a vehicle, common spots are the side of the center console, a side panel and the lower dash. At home, a mount can go on a nightstand, headboard, coffee table, desk or wall. Pick a spot you can reach from your normal position that stays clear of airbags, pedals and controls.

What comes with the mount?

Mounting screws, VHB adhesive tape and primer are included, and installation steps and warranty information are inside the packaging. The pistol is not included.

Is there an installation video?

Yes. The At The Ready installation video is on the Installation page. Watch it before you start.

Should I use the screws or the tape in a vehicle?

In a vehicle, use the included screws, or the VHB tape together with the primer, rather than the tape alone. Follow the instructions in your box for your surface.

How long should the tape and primer cure before I use the mount?

Follow the instructions that come with your mount. 3M VHB tape reaches its full bond strength in about 72 hours at room temperature, so give it that long before you put your pistol in the mount; the primer needs only a few minutes to dry before you press the mount into place.

Using it safely

What should I check about local laws?

Verify the local and state laws that apply before you buy, install or use a firearm mount. A product listing or installation photo does not determine whether it is legal in your situation.

Can I leave my pistol in the mount when I leave the vehicle?

No. A mount is not locked storage, so take the pistol with you or lock it up whenever you leave the vehicle, and keep it away from children and anyone not allowed to handle it.

Can I chamber a round while my pistol is in the mount?

Yes, on the standard pistol mounts. They are designed so the pistol can ride in a neutral position and be chambered as you draw: take your shooting grip, push down and pull out. Practice with an unloaded pistol and no magazine first; the IWI Desert Eagle mounts are the exception.

Can I chamber my Desert Eagle while it is in the mount?

No. The IWI Desert Eagle mounts hold the pistol in a neutral position and are not designed for chambering while mounted. Remove the pistol before chambering or working the slide, because chambering it in the mount may damage the mount, the pistol or the surface the mount is attached to.

Why do I accept a disclosure before ordering a Desert Eagle mount?

Because those mounts are not designed for chambering while mounted, each IWI Desert Eagle mount page asks you to read and accept a short disclosure about that limitation before the mount can go in your cart.

Why is the trigger exposed on the mount?

The trigger is left open so you can take your full shooting grip as you draw and, if you carry with an empty chamber, chamber a round as the pistol leaves the mount. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are on target and have decided to shoot.

Will the mount hold my pistol in a crash?

At The Ready does not guarantee that a mount will hold a pistol in an accident. Every crash is different, and afterward the pistol may be on the floor of the vehicle.

Lazy Barrel & accessories

What does the Lazy Barrel Mount do?

The Lazy Barrel Mount keeps a rifle or shotgun upright. Set it where you want to rest your gun, and its magnets draw in the barrel and hold it secure, while the free butt stock plate gives the stock a place to stand.

Where can I put the Lazy Barrel?

Put it wherever you want to rest your rifle or shotgun: on a steel surface such as a truck body, a gun safe or a metal cabinet, held by its magnets; screwed to a wooden wall or the tree in your tree stand; or stuck on with 3M tape.

Will the Lazy Barrel's magnets hold on aluminum, wood or plastic?

No. Magnets only hold to steel and other magnetic metals. On aluminum, wood or plastic, attach the Lazy Barrel with screws or 3M tape instead.

Does the Lazy Barrel hold both rifles and shotguns?

Yes. The Lazy Barrel Mount is made to hold the barrel of a rifle or shotgun upright.

Is the butt stand included with the Lazy Barrel?

Yes. The butt stock plate comes free with every Lazy Barrel Mount, so the stock has its own place to stand.

What colors does the Lazy Barrel come in?

The Lazy Barrel comes in 25 colors, including black, brown, army green, khaki and orange. You pick the color on its product page.

How much does the Lazy Barrel Mount cost?

The Lazy Barrel Mount costs $39.95, with the butt stock plate included.

What is the AR Vice Block?

The AR Vice Block is a bench block that holds an AR-platform rifle in place for maintenance, cleaning and assembly. It is made from non-marring materials to protect the finish and costs $39.95.

Is there a minimum order for dealers?

Order minimums and any starter package are part of the buying plan At The Ready sets up for your company when your account is approved.

Can my customers get optic-ready mounts or custom colors?

Yes. Mounts come in standard and optic-ready versions, with 25 colors and up to 18 characters of custom text.

We are not a store. Is there another way to work with At The Ready?

Yes. Creators, instructors and other promoters can join the At The Ready affiliate program and earn 10% commission on qualifying sales.

Can the Lazy Barrel come installed on the deer stands we build?

Tell At The Ready how you would like to offer it (installed on your stands, packed in the box or sold as an add-on) in the form on the deer stand builders page, and the team will follow up with options.

How does the Lazy Barrel attach to wood, metal or fiberglass stands?

On wood it screws in place through its mounting holes, and on steel the magnets do the holding. On fiberglass it can go on with 3M tape or be fastened where the design allows, and aluminum stands get a fastened or taped setup because magnets need steel.
