Springfield Echelon and XD-S Car Mounts: Pick Your Model
Springfield car mount guide: magnetic mounts for the Echelon, Echelon Compact, XD-S 3.3, XD-S 4.0 and XD-M Elite. Find your model and set up your mount.

Springfield Armory makes some of the most popular pistols on the road, and beyond the Hellcat, two families come up again and again: the newer Echelon and the long-running XD line. A Springfield car mount has to match the exact model, and the names in these families are easy to mix up.
This guide covers the Echelon, Echelon Compact, XD-S 3.3, XD-S 4.0 and XD-M Elite, with the mount for each, plus tips for choosing the optic-ready version and placing the mount.
Key takeaways
- Each Springfield model has its own At The Ready magnetic mount, including the Echelon, Echelon Compact, XD-S 3.3, XD-S 4.0 and XD-M Elite.
- Similar names use separate mounts, so check the model marked on your pistol.
- Each mount is $95, or $105 for the optic-ready version.
- Hellcat owners: see the separate Hellcat guide.

Echelon and Echelon Compact
The Echelon line is built around optics, so many owners choose the optic-ready mount. See the lineup on Springfield Armory’s Echelon page.
| Your pistol | At The Ready mount | Standard | Optic-ready |
|---|---|---|---|
| Springfield Echelon | Echelon mount | $95 | $105 |
| Springfield Echelon Compact | Echelon Compact mount | $95 | $105 |
XD-S and XD-M Elite
The XD family has many members; Springfield shows them on its XD series page. Three of the most popular:
| Your pistol | At The Ready mount | Standard | Optic-ready |
|---|---|---|---|
| Springfield XD-S 3.3 | XD-S 3.3 mount | $95 | $105 |
| Springfield XD-S 4.0 | XD-S 4.0 mount | $95 | $105 |
| Springfield XD-M Elite | XD-M Elite mount | $95 | $105 |
The XD-S 3.3 and 4.0 are separate mounts, and the XD-M Elite comes in 10mm and .45 versions with mounts of their own. Every Springfield model, including the XD, XD-M and EMP, is on the Springfield mounts page. Carrying a Hellcat? Our Hellcat car mount guide covers that family.

How the Mount Holds Your Springfield
Each Springfield car mount is shaped from that model’s actual slide and holds the pistol with rare-earth magnets in a premium ABS body. The pistol sits in the same position on every drive, and the trigger guard stays open, so keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire. If your pistol carries a light or another accessory, contact At The Ready to check clearance.
Choosing Optic-Ready
If you run a red dot, choose “Optic: Yes” for the optic-ready version, $10 more than standard. The optic-ready gun mount guide explains what it means.
Placement and Install
The side of the center console and the lower dash are the most common spots. Test with your empty pistol from your normal seat, stay clear of airbags and pedals, and add the angled mount adapter ($14.99) if your knee crowds the grip. Install with the included screws, or with the VHB tape and included primer for a no-drill install.

Make It Yours
Choose from 25 colors and add up to 18 characters of custom text at no extra cost; black is the standard base color. Mounts are made in Wylie, Texas, by a veteran-owned company and carry a lifetime warranty.

Safety and the Law
Practice with an unloaded pistol. Take it with you or lock it up when you leave the vehicle, and check the carry laws wherever you drive.
